Catch trial users at the moment they get stuck

Most SaaS trials are lost quietly: a user hits a confusing setting, can't find the answer and never comes back. HTchat puts chat on your marketing site and inside your app, tells you which screen the user is on, and lets the AI agent answer how-to questions from your own documentation.

Built for

  • Early-stage SaaS with founders doing support
  • Product teams running free trials
  • B2B tools where sales and support share one queue

What gets in the way — and how HTchat helps

Friction is invisible

Chat opened from /settings/billing tells you more than any survey. HTchat stores the page path for every conversation.

How-to questions repeat

"How do I invite my team?" doesn't need a human. Paste your docs into AI knowledge and it answers — and hands over when it can't.

Sales and support collide

Pricing questions and bug reports land in the same inbox. Assign each to the right person and leave private notes so nobody answers twice.

What a conversation looks like

Pick an example to see how HTchat handles it. These are illustrations of how the product works, not real customers.

Outcome: Answered from documentation pasted into AI knowledge.

How do I add a teammate to my workspace?

AI agent

Go to Settings → Team and click Invite. They'll get an email to join your workspace.

How it works day to day

  1. 01

Add the snippet to your site and app shell

One script tag in your app's layout. It runs in Shadow DOM, so your app's CSS can't break it and it can't break your app.

  2. 02

Require an email for in-app chats

Turn on email capture so every conversation is tied to a real user you can find in your own system.

  3. 03

Let AI handle the docs questions

Q&A plus pasted documentation covers setup and how-to questions; handoff keywords like "bug" or "refund" go straight to people.

  4. 04

Mention the engineer in a private note

Type @name in a note to pull a teammate in. The customer never sees notes.

The snippet

Your real widget key appears in Settings → Installation after you sign up.

<script src="https://thchat.app/widget.js" data-htchat="YOUR_WIDGET_KEY" async></script>

What HTchat doesn't do yet

So you can decide with the full picture.

  • There's no JavaScript API yet to pass a logged-in user's ID or plan to the widget; use email capture instead.
  • No Slack or helpdesk integrations yet.
  • The AI agent doesn't crawl your docs site automatically — paste the text you want it to use.

Common questions

Will the widget conflict with my React/Vue app?

It's a dependency-free script that renders inside Shadow DOM, so it doesn't share CSS or global variables with your app.

Can I identify logged-in users?

Not automatically yet. Turn on email capture so users enter their account email, which links all their chats as one contact.

Can engineers join a conversation without replying to the customer?

Yes. Private notes are visible only to your team, and @mentioning someone notifies them.
