See who's on your website right now
Live Visitors shows people currently browsing pages with your HTchat widget: the page they're on, how they found you and roughly where they are. It's a quick way to spot someone stuck on checkout before they leave.
What you see
The list updates while visitors browse.
- The current page and the pages viewed in this visit
- The referring site that brought them in
- Browser, operating system and device type
- Approximate country and city, never an exact address
Privacy by design
HTchat stores only the page address (domain and path) — never query strings, URL fragments or anything typed into forms. A visitor drops off the list about 90 seconds after they leave.
From browsing to a conversation
When a visitor starts a chat, the conversation carries the same page and source details, so you already know the context when you reply.
Common questions
- Do I need extra tracking code?
- No. The chat widget reports visits itself; there's nothing else to install.
- Does it track people across websites?
- No. Visits are only recorded on sites where your own widget is installed.
