Add live chat to your Wix site

Wix lets you add third-party code through its Custom Code settings. Paste the HTchat snippet there once and the chat widget appears on every page of your Wix site.

Before you start

Wix only allows custom code on sites with a connected domain, which generally means a paid Wix plan. If the Custom Code option is missing, that's usually why.

Why use HTchat on Wix

You get one inbox for every chat, the page each visitor is on, and an optional AI agent trained on your own answers — and the same account works if you ever move off Wix.

Add HTchat to Wix

  1. 01In your Wix dashboard, go to Settings → Custom Code.
  2. 02Click Add Custom Code and paste your HTchat snippet.
  3. 03Choose All pages and place the code at Body – end.
  4. 04Apply and publish your site.

Common questions

Does it work on Wix stores?
Yes. The snippet loads on store pages too, so shoppers can chat from product pages.
Do I need Wix Velo?
No. The Custom Code setting is all you need.
