Add chat to any website with one line of code
If you can edit your site's HTML, a theme file or a code-injection box, you can add HTchat. The same snippet works on hand-built sites and on every major site builder.
It won't fight your design
The widget renders inside its own isolated layer (Shadow DOM), so your site's CSS can't break it and it can't restyle your pages. It loads asynchronously, so it doesn't hold up the rest of the page.
Works on the platform you already use
Step-by-step guides cover the common setups.
- Custom HTML and static sites
- WordPress and WooCommerce (with an official plugin)
- Shopify, Wix, Squarespace and Webflow
- Google Tag Manager, if you'd rather not touch site code
Know where each chat started
Every conversation records the page URL it began on and the referring site, so you can tell whether people get stuck on pricing, checkout or a specific article.
Install in three steps
- 01Create a free HTchat account.
- 02Copy your snippet from Settings → Widget.
- 03Paste it just before the closing body tag of your site and publish.
Common questions
- Does it work on single-page apps?
- Yes. The widget tracks page changes so the inbox shows the visitor's current page.
- Can I run it on several sites?
- Yes. The same snippet works on any site you paste it into; chats show which site and page they came from.
